Of the three main campsites I like lower pines the best- seems to have the most space, can take the boardwalk to curry village.

Got a site beside the river. What you need to know: no hookups but free dump station at upper pines. Limited generator hours. 2bars 5g on T-Mobile.

Camped in February, we had no immediate neighbours because it was off season. Our site (19) was level but some were not. Dry camping but there is a water fill and dump station and you can run generator until 8pm.

Took it really easy on the way in and out. No problems finding a site. It got windy at night but was spectacular.

Stayed for one night between the Bay Area and Death Valley. No problem finding a site at 10pm on a Friday. Would stay again.
