There are numerous boondocking sites along this road. Do not plan on taking a trailer beyond the Mill Creek Campground. Do not plan on taking a car past Smuggler Mine (1 mile past the Mill Creek campground).

An old forest service campground. It is close to Sheridan for it is easy to get supplies. Only has hand pumps for water. Also, there was only one site large enough for a small trailer. All other sites were for tents or campers. The campground...
