"Good place to rest after the border"

RV park has water, sewer and electricity at each site. We are next to the office, so WiFi is very strong. Sites overlook the ocean, but there is some road noise. Getting into town is easy, we took the bus in and back, right outside the gate. It's... Read more

"Good price full hook-ups"

We stayed here one night when we spent the day at Orvis hot springs, which is less than a mile away. Good price for full hook-ups and nice veiws across the valley. A bit of road noise, but hardly noticable. A mix of long term and short stays. Nice... Read more

Right off the main road over the pass is the campground, it's paved with gravel sites and a couple of pull-throughs. There's a vault toilet and each site had a picnic table and fire ring. There's a hot spring down the road at redstone, which is... Read more

A quiet and dark spot just of the road. It was a level dirt area and had a porta John around the corner. It seems to be a gun range during the day and a camping spot at night. Nothing special, just convenient and better than a Walmart.

"Free hot showers, with lake view."

The campsite is close to Hot Springs National Park, which is great for day trips. It also has free hot showers, which is awesome. It's right on the lake with a boat ramp. However there aren't really any designated sites, so you just find a... Read more

"Campsite with a swimming hole"

Long twisting road in. Great sites with gravel pads, picnic tables and fire rings. A short walk down goes to a nice swimming part of the river. There's a 2.5 mile trek which involves crossing two rivers and takes you to twin falls and Richland... Read more

"Well appointed campsite close to town"

Nice campsite, work fire rings, benches, vault toilet and trash cans. The bugs here in summer are very bad. We left early. Any other time and it would be a nice place. There is a boat ramp here, and it's close to town, so you do get since locals... Read more

The atlas has these pink dots along all the “scenic” routes in America. Like Pacman, we are trying to follow those as often as we can, to free campsites, naturally. A house outside of Bolivar on hig...
