"Many Open Sites To Pick From"

Visited near the end of April but there were only two other campers on a Saturday night. Nice sites located in the trees but there is some filtered road noise as others have mentioned. Fire ring and picnic tables but no other facilities. Great... Read more

"A little tight making the turn at the top."

I wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't disappointed as this was a nice location and totally quiet the 3 days I was there. I hadn't been used in a while and was overgrown with the local grass, but it was level enough that I didn't have to use... Read more

"Great overnight spot in the eastern Sierras."

We were heading south to Death Valley and this spot was a great option for overnight. We camped on the lower loop and most of the sites here are pull through. This area does get significant wind but the views across the lake are hard to beat. It’s... Read more

"OK for 1 night while on the road."

We had been coming off the Oregon cost and just needed a place to spend the night. Also needed FHU as it was hot, and we wanted to use our air conditioner. It's very close to the freeway and noisy, as others have stated. Even to hot to try out... Read more

"Funky in an odd way."

As others have stated, most of the RV sites have full time residents. For us, it was May, and we didn't have reservations anywhere along the coast for Independence Day. Met the basic needs of 30 amp electric and FHU. Lots of options for day trips... Read more

"Not perfect but good enough for 1 night."

We frequently travel the I-5 corridor to visit family in Oregon and are always looking for an overnight stop where the sound of traffic is not to loud and we’re far enough away from the train tracks to limit that noise also. This park does a good... Read more

"Great spot for exploring the area. Several sites would fit our 30' TT."

We were in site 18 and had plenty of room but did struggle to get level as the pad was anything but level. There are several sites that would fit a 30" TT and many were open on the Friday night when we arrived. There is some traffic noise, and it... Read more

"Great campgound for OHV's in the Oregon Dunes."

Visited with some friends that had a side by side. All the campers here had sand toys in many varieties. If you don't have a side by side or quad you should look for another place to stay.

"Very quite. Not hard to find if you follow FS directions."

We came in from the north and had 10 plus miles of gravel road. We followed the directions from the forest service website and had no issues needing FWD or being on a sketchy road. Going out to the west was only a short stretch of gravel and then... Read more

"Lots of sites to pick from. 30 minutes from Truckee CA."

200 campsites in 6 loops some more level than others. We originally had campsite #37 but it needed over 7 inches of lift to level out 30 foot TT so we ended up switching sites. Reservations are through Recreation dot Gov and we were able to talk... Read more
