"Tent sites too close together "

If you like intimately knowing your neighbor this place is for you. You are no more than 15 ft from your neighbors in every direction. Otherwise the place is clean and hospitable enough but it’s way too cramped for me. Pass.

"Very Convenient from I17"

Agree with other observations. A couple of additional points. The road is dusty! I went in 5 miles and then back and everything was covered in fine red dust. Regarding cell - the closer you are to I17 the better it is for AT&T. 5... Read more

"Big area that takes some time to know"

Driving in there are many many side spurs that you simply cannot know without investigating them all. I took a previous posters advice and drove in around 5 miles and then took a campsite road which I figured was nasty for an RV (I have a pickup)... Read more

"No Privacy"

Lots of good things about this campground - clean, safe, close to town, etc. But the sites are ridiculously close together and you simply have no privacy. If your good with that it’s probably 4 or 5 stars but it’s just too cramped for me.

"Spacious sites and great cell service"

These are very spread apart desert sites within site of I70 yet you still feel well separated from the world. It’s a popular motorcycle area but even on a Saturday afternoon in May it’s very quiet. At night the only sound is the far off noise of... Read more

I actually drove through but stayed at nearby rabbit valley because the sites at Joful are quite close together and when I came through on a Saturday all but one or two were taken. If you enjoy a bit more solitude the sites at Rabbit Valley are... Read more

"Good for Mountain Biking"

I had a good experience with one night in early May without a reservation. Overall the campground is well organized and relatively well kept. I particularly enjoyed that the showers actually have a hot and cold faucet and you could actually take... Read more

"Busy place but clean and organized"

They do a nice job at this busy state park. I was here on a rainy day in May but I can see there are many many activities in the area were one to be here in the summer. If your looking for a quiet sleepy place this probably isn’t it. I was... Read more

"Very nice campground and well organized. "

I stayed in the mesquite area because of the Cell service suggested by another reviewer and have not been disappointed. Cost a bit extra for me because I don’t need the electricity but not a big deal. Site is quite nice and with a view the only... Read more

"Works for a night. Nothing more. "

This appears a popular spot for RVers driving I70 to pull in for a quick overnight. It’s 10 minutes off the highway. It’s old and it’s tired but it’s relatively safe and you get a tent spot for $10 with a working shower. The key system for the... Read more
