Much nicer than the actual campground nearby.
We didn’t go all the way to the GPS coordinates but decided the spot by the cinder cone would do us just fine.
This is a stop for us in between Sequoia and Death Valley.

We drove in but some areas to the water were taped off. The board said closed on 9/16/18. But the gates into camp was open. Tempted to stay as the sites were close to the water and looked pretty nice but didn’t want to get locked in.
