Another great stay. Campsite by the creek. Was able to sit in the shade and listen to the water. Good weather and nice hike on the Stone Mountain loop.

April is a great time to camp. There are few bugs. Campground is not full. A quiet and peaceful place. A plus is the whippoorwill roosting in the live oaks with their nightly serenade. Yes it is a long drive to get there, but that is the OBX.

Camp sites at 4,200 ft. Cool nights and not so hot days.

Site 52 was next to the creek with a great background noise. Sites are large. Pet and family friendly.

Plenty of room for the big rigs. Very quiet.

Wooded sites, clean restrooms, hot showers, and dog friendly. Nice hiking trails around lake with a beach and boat rental.
