We had pre booked because of school holidays so it was better to be safer than sorry. Rockwood Park is only about 5k from anywhere. The Reverse Falls are close and some great shopping at local grocery stores.

As there are no reservations they tell you there are plenty of sites which is true but many sites may be too small for you to actually fit into...

This is a county park which caters for a lot of locals making day visits. There was a celebration on one of the days we were there, so lots of cars etc.
