They are very tight with their money and are slow, very slow to upgrade their facilities. They had catered to long time repeat customers so if you’re new to the park, you will get left over sites that the “regulars” didn’t want. Very clicky as well. If you haven’t been there for years, your on your own! For calling it a resort they need to step up their game big time in all fairness. Pickleball courts are basic multiuse on top of tennis courts. Lines everywhere! The folks staying at the park maintain the courts and the horseshoes. The gym is small and DISGUSTING ! It wasn’t cleaned once while we were there all winter. The place needs simple landscaping done. The visitors were doing landscaping to make the place more livable. Owner increased prices this year by about 17%. With NO plans for an upgrade. Sadly she priced a lot of folks out for next year. This place is just ok. But don’t get your hopes up about it if you’re going to go.

Agreed with the other review that it was a bit overpriced and it did suck having to call the office each time we wanted to get in the gate but never had an issue with it. It was

The first review is very fair: Nice digs, well kept, and mostly Class A's, Park Homes and gargantuan 5th wheels. This is your classic 'South Florida Winter Scene' with all the license plates from up north or from our neighbors further north. But since this is *CAMP*endium, you might be looking for something along the lines of a campground or regular RV park. This ain't it. There are now more than 400 sites, so this is a 'by the numbers' experience, meaning pretty rigid minds run the place. Nothing unreasonable, but 'up the down staircase' is not acceptable. $100/night was, for a concrete pad and hook-ups, hardly good value. I never did see a restroom.
If yours is a short stay and you don't want to buy a 'gate sticker' for $16, then you have to stop at the gate each arrival and call the office for admission, a bonafide quirk. Does it work after hours? I can only say the calling terminal at the gate didn't work for us a couple of times and who knows what happens at midnight if that happens and the attendant is making rounds. The 'dog park' is a little compound at the far end of the park and the size of two regular parking spaces. Ft. Myers Shores is a string of small stores, miles long with intense traffic, and from the Florida of yesteryear, altho' there is a small Ace and small Tractor Supply located there. Ft. Myers proper is 20+ mins away in heavy traffic, in our experience. My biggest gripe: Being a place where most "campers" are here for the whole winter and open sites are few, the park doesn't have the mindset that all us regular RV'ers hold that things happen on the road, illness can strike, and so an advance notice of cancellation is usually acceptable. Not here, no matter what. With a $100/night fee and a packed park, that doesn't seem a reasonable attitude. But as mentioned above, it's a 'rule'.

First of all, I really can't believe there are no other reviews on this resort. The kind broker who helped us purchase our Dutch Star set us up a couple of nights here so she could go over our new to us coach and also instruct my husband how to drive. We arrived and were near the front of the resort(i believe site 364). The grounds were extremely neat and beautifully kept. Lots of class A's and fifth wheels in the front area. The front sites are all pretty much in the sun, which was not a problem for us as we were escaping cool temps! Our site was very level and fully paved with a picnic table. There were lots of snowbirds still there and it was very clear they were all having a wonderful time! Everyone was so very friendly and even reported that this wasn't a "stuffy" motorhome resort. They have a nice swimming pool, bocce, pickleball, shuffleboard, etc and noted a full itinerary that was given at check in. We were sorry we couldn't partake in some fun activities! The river flows right up through the park models that are at the other end of the park. While we were there, we saw signs for "fresh strawberries" one day and "fresh tomatoes." I think they also have food trucks there sometimes too. We attempted to walk to the BBQ/Wings place right down the street but the wait was very long so apparently it is very good! We never could get connected to the Wifi but we weren't there long enough to worry about it, our ATT was great. We will definitely keep this in mind again when we are in the Ft Myers area, very easy to jump on I 75 N.

“Booking for high season ”
noted 3/31/2022
Booking for high season is not good if you only want 1 month they book the longer stays first. Anything left they will get to you at some point for a shorter stay I guess my money is no good. We only wanted the month of Feb so they would take our reservation until they booked the longer stays.
noted 1/14/2022
I have not stayed however I called for Monthly Rate. Was quoted $2,000 per month.
