Upper Oso Campground

Beautiful campground surrounded on all sides by hills and cliffs. After crossing the river (watch out, low-profile vehicles--you literally drive in (6-12 inches of water), you make the second left and continue up a 2-mile 1 lane road that meanders through The canyon.
The campground is very remote, and if you're lucky, you can find serenity and quiet. No highway noise or light pollution. Unluckily for us, a few noisy groups kept us from that serenity.
Most sites also have horse corrals, in case you bring your horse. But if you don't have one, you can still camp in those sites.
Be very fire-aware! The whole area burned out a few years ago and now its mostly dry grass. Don't let there be another fire!
