Stayed here for 4 days and had a pleasant stay. We had partial hookups which was on the upper area that included a small river stream that was lovely to hear sitting outside. Close to city area which is very convenient. Trolly bus stop is also close which takes you downtown if you don’t want to drive.

Hard to imagine mor cars parked in a smaller space except perhaps at a Walmart. Crowed and sterile. Barely out of Durango so ok if the city is your destination. If you are looking for a pleasant outdoor environment, keep looking. Clean enough but sterile. Constant highway noise which might be better at another location within the park.

My only critique is that there wasn’t a place to walk our dog besides the RV park. The river is nearby, but there is no access. There is a beautiful tent camping area, but dogs are not allowed. We didn’t use laundry or bathroom facilities so I can’t rate those.

This is a nice, well-maintained campground in a pretty setting. Easy access from Route 550 with good signage. Checkin was efficient. The owners are super nice and hard-working. The roads and sites are crushed stone. Roads are easy to navigate for big rigs and were watered daily during our stay. The RV sites are a good size with a picnic table. There are mature trees for shade at many sites. The tent sites are grassy and shaded, and beyond are green fields, the river, and red cliffs. Although the campground is near the highway, there is no bothersome road noise since the campground is set downhill from the road. There is a trolley that runs on a regular schedule to downtown Durango. Utilities all worked as expected. No trouble getting level. Good T-mobile signal and WiFi. The laundry was clean and well provisioned. The Durango & Silverton RR passes by a couple times a day (not at night). This is our second stay and we’ll be back next year!

So cool to hear the train whistle and wave to all the passengers. The only downside is that our cell signal was very weak, even with our booster, which made it difficult to work. If we return to the area and do not have to work, this will be the place we stay.

Having the train run through the campground is awesome and everyone waves as it goes by! We did the full day excursion and it was wonderful. Durango is a great little town to visit. We took the trolly into town and it costs $1 or $.50 for seniors. There is a great app for your phone so you can see where the trollys are.
Verizon coverage was not good. I did put up our 25ft Cell Phone antenna and the got us from 1 bar to 2-3 bars, so it was usable and was able to stream a college football game. The in-park WIFI was ok, but slow during busy times, which they all are, so no surprise.
I am sure if we return to Durango, this is where we will stay!

The narrow gauge train passes a few times per day, which is good or bad depending on what you like. The campground is really close to the highway and comes with all the associated noise from that.

Most Rv sites have abundant shade, our site was well spaced. We stayed for 6 nights, Durango/Silverton historic steam RR goes by a few times a day! About 2 or 3 miles to downtown Durango
