Overall Rating

Small National Forest campground within the local sand dunes of the Oregon coast. Campground is right off of Hwy. 101, 7 mi. South of Florence. Although right off the highway after dark road noise lessens considerably. Fresh water, clean vault toilets, nice tables, and fire rings. Less than 1 mile to Silcoos Lake and right on the Silcoos river with canoe and kayaking launching in the campground. Paddle up the river and explore the lake, or go down the river (very calm and slow flowing) to enter the Pacific Ocean. There is a small dam, but easy portage. If you don’t have “dune toys” this is the campground for you!
