The smoke varies across the state day by day based on the current weather patterns. Glacier has several webcams throughout the park so you can see what the current conditions are like at each location. Just go to the park's website and then the "learn about" tab and "photos and multimedia" under that. Or google "montana air quality forecast" for various sites predicting what the smoke will be like.
