I really wanted to give this more stars. The pros: easy access off the highway, just keep an eye out for low hanging trees. We were able to park right next to the river with our 40 foot fifth wheel. Room for maybe 3 rigs. The camping area is separated from the fishing parking. There are trash cans available and a pit toilet. The cons:... more

The cons: it rained and there were some BIG mud holes. There is traffic noise, although it does quiet down some during the night. We heard two gunshots during the day but could’ve been hunters. At 1:00 AM we heard 11 gunshots, too close for comfort. We did stay 2 nights and everything else was fine.
It is very convenient to the Little Bighorn Battlefield. 2 night stay limit and free.

There were Vehicle tracks all over the field. Turn around has deep ruts. Vault toilet.

There was no trash, but, our dog found something dead to roll in, so we gave her a quick bath, then departed toward I-90 via the Crow Agency road.

Nice east spot to pull off for the night. There is tons of trash everywhere though and looks like they’re using this area to stage some construction equipment. But the good news is that it is right on the river which was cool. Great for a one night stopover, wouldn’t stay longer than that.

Convenient location right off highway. I was alone, except for a car and potential sleeper. There is construction being done and I almost left, thinking they would start up early am. But I found a good spot further down the road. Not a 5-star due to the garbage, graffiti, and tremendous amount of flies.

It is a dirt road coming in and people have obviously been back here when it was wet and raining so I had to be careful where I drove. there was a lot at trash laying around and an old treadmill. I picked up two grocery sacks full of trash and an empty beer case. There is as vault toilet that is pretty clean. I chose to park close to it since i travel in my car. This put me closer to the road but it doesn't seem to be too noisy since it is a small two lane. There is a spot or two further away. A van pulled down there after I pulled in here. I will update tomorrow after I have spent the night.
So I forgot to update after staying overnight. There were several cars that came and went in the evening but there was no late night parties. It was very quiet overnight and I had no bod experiences. I felt safe.

Extremely buggy! Had our camper door open for a minute and paid for it.
View in the morning was beautiful. Heard elk bugling! River is pretty.
Some road noise from the bridge. Some graffiti on the trees :(
One area smelled a little fishy - think people were cleaning their fish and leaving the contents behind.
Overall, would stay again, but just for an overnight.

Based on previous reviews, I can unfortunately foresee the experience. This is a beautiful spot. Room for 2 or 3 RVs, based on rig size. Right on the BigHorn River. The unfortunate side (likely weekends) this place might be a high schooler hot spot for drinking evidence by empty beer cans on furthest end of site and a state ID found on the ground. Also a deer carcass resting on bank found near the beer can area. THESE are the unfortunate.... although we parked on the “clean” end and were the only ones here. Single vault on site. No trash receptacles. Large pot ditch filled with rain from previous night that we dodged. No regrets for free, but sad that trash gets left behind from drinkers.
