I have had this on my list for years. Choose a non generator area and I didn't hear any generators from the generator area! Yeah ! Even though the spacing was adequate, I think they could do better. My really only draw back is that dogs cannot be on the hiking trails in the NM. We still did some hiking but not in the NM. I was ne... more

What a nice park and campground. The beginning of April and it’s not very busy, even though it’s the weekend and the weather is perfect. I guess they consider this the off-season since a number of the loops are closed off and there aren’t many events happening at the visitor’s center. I arrived and the kiosk to the campground entran... more

Sites are concrete pads, and campground is organized to give decent privacy between sites. Bathrooms appear to be brand new! Three of the bathrooms have solar showers and the temp was good :-) We noticed only a handful of sites with shade cover, and all others were in direct sun all day. We like our site (#15) for it's shade cover ... more

Twin Peaks Campground in Organ Pipe National Monument has a lot going for it. The campground itself is quite large, although I was less than impressed with the on-line reservation system and reservations were required until April 1st when the park switched entirely to first-come/first served. Most sites are long pull-throughs with a c... more

“Right in the Heart of Organ Pipe Cactus NM”

Reviewed Mar 27, 2019

We stayed in a tent site for 2 nights and enjoyed how accessible the campsite was to Organ Pipe’s hikes, visitor center, and scenic drives. The campground has a trail loop surrounding it, a 1.2 mile loop in the surrounding hills, and a 1.3mi trail to the visitor center. The views are pretty from the campsite and there are lots of nativ... more

We stayed here for 3 days and really enjoyed it. All site are pull through with plenty of space. Upload a campground layout and rule-regulations in pictures. Mid-March and the temps are begging to rise (80+), come late April or early May the temps start to climb to 90-100. With no AC relief from your rig (as generator hours are limited... more

We stayed here for 7 days and loved it. No hookups but they have a restroom and solar shower (cold). There is also an easy dump station and portable water. “Get Away”

Reviewed Feb 21, 2019

Overall Rating

My favorite place to get away from busy life. Tranquil, quiet, clean and remote. Incredible nature, huge cacti, great hikes. Stayed here multiple times in upper section. With our T-Mobile plan we had excellent coverage through Mexico's TelCel. I also have signal booster on my rig. $20 per night, $10 with NPS annual pass.

“Comfortable, easy walks for pets, quiet, close sites”

Reviewed Feb 05, 2019

Set up well for folks with pets and big rigs, the campground offers water, showers, grill, picnic tables and easy walks. The perimeter walk and 1.3 mile trail to the visitor center are dog friendly. Safe and quiet, but a lot of people in a small area.
