Very nice campground. Large sites and well spaced. I was in the A loop. Showers were clean and warm. October 3 and mosquitoes were few and far between. Not to far from the highway and worth the short diversion. Camp host was friendly.

We stayed in Loop A and didn't check out any other loops, the sites in A were spaced far enough apart to give a sense of not being crowded and having a camping experience in the woods. Our site was one of only two in the A Loop that had water. No TV reception but internet was good with verizon.
Shower house was really clean.
A second dump station would be nice. Sat in line for about 40 min.

This was a beautiful campgrounds in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Our spot was freshly cleaned up and had a pad above other area so rain drained away. The single/private bathhouse was the cleanest I’ve ever seen. We will definitely come back to this site.

Once we were parked in our site all was good. Clean, spacious and private and very close to walks around the lake. However, it was a nightmare backing into this particular site. We were forewarned how tight it was when we checked in. It was on a curve with a huge ditch and low hanging tree branches on the left side. On the right was a little wooden post indicating the site #. Needless to say the back left side of the trailer ended up in the ditch and the branches scratched the side of the trailer. Our neighbors in Site 30 across the road have been coming to Twin Knobs for 25 years and said it was the worst site in the whole campground. Using their site drive we eventually got in ours and the rest of our time was great!

Probably the cleanest bath houses I have experienced in a national forest and the showers are private. We had a double site (only one available) and no discounts are available on double sites thus the cost. Vast majority of sites were well spaced out with foliage between. There are numerous loops but not all have electricity and none have water at site but spigots fairly close by. Some loops have nice water views but few are electric. Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park are about 1 hour away. Shopping (@Morehead) is about 25 minutes away. Will go back for a longer stay. Some have complained about boat noise but rain cut that down.

Spots are spread out with a lot of privacy. We had 3 bars of service which allow us to work remotely. During the week we one of two sites occupied in one of the loops. Beautiful walking paths along the water. Friendly campground staff and hosts. Noise from boaters on the weekend.

Stayed here 3/27/19. The campsites are developed and include fire pit and picnic table. We were very impressed by the quality of our site pad and the number of amenities at this campground. We chose a primitive site and were very happy with our stay. We would stay here again in the future.
