I came in on a Thursday morning and the park was only about a third full. This park is a first come first serve with no reservations. I came here on September 10th and it was very smoky from all the fires.
Big paved sites with plenty of space in-between. No hookups but there is water at each site.

This county park was a pleasant surprise. Only $12 if you are over 62, otherwise $18. Nice wooded setting, flush toilets, and a frisbee golf course. Close to Markleeville, Grover Hot Springs state park. There was even free wifi.

It also had bear boxes, fire pits & grill. There's a stream running through the middle of the campground, nice. Also a Frisbee golf course there if that's your thing.
$15 is very cheap, bring exact change. I'd give it 5 stars if you could reserve the place online . When traveling several hours ,its nice to have a spot in advance.
