“Why pay $20 for nothing when you can camp on the same road for free?”

I didn’t stay here. I was boondocking on Pass Creek Rd and walked up to check it out. This campground would be fine for $10 so if you have a discount pass, it might be ok. It’s a very small and rustic campground without water, electric or a dump station and sites are pretty small. The sites all seemed to have a picnic table and a firepit. There are two old looking pit toilet outhouses- a men’s on one side of the campground and a women’s on the other. Right across the road is free fishing at Tucker Ponds and there is a nicer pit toilet there. The entire area is spruce pine beetle kill, so unfortunately it has a rather sad appearance. The campground looks run down, but in their defense it had been closed for a month (since September 7) when I walked through. I saw 1 to 2 bars of Verizon in different parts of the small campground. I just don’t see how they can justify $20 a night for these sites. Otherwise ok.
