Overall Rating
Truckhaven Trail is the first right-hand turn as you are traveling west on the Borrego Salton Sea Way from Salton City on S22. After the right turn you climb up to the plateau where there is a large area for parking overlooking the Salton Sea. Boondocking for any size rig is OK.
It is peaceful and quite Sunday – Thursday, but on weekends there are seemingly hundreds of ATVs and campers. The noise goes on for about 19 hours each day.
Red Earth Casino has the cheapest fuel prices around and has water/dump. There is a small grocery in Salton City.
