Overall Rating
Visited June 2022. Campground sits in pine and fir around 7800’. No water or hookups at all. Vault toilets were clean. Level pads. Bear boxes provided, no bears encountered. Campground was quiet. No camp host. Access roads in good condition for rv’s. No reservations, FF only. Arrived on Thursday to find plenty of sites available. CG... more

We camped the week of the 4th of July and assumed it would fill up but not many people seem to go here. Campsites were nice and neighbors are a good distance away, each site has a campfire ring and a bear box. This campground is popular for people with motorcycles and ATV's, so if that bothers you be warned! There is lots of hikin... more
We camped the week of the 4th of July and assumed it would fill up but not many people seem to go here. Campsites were nice and neighbors are a good distance away, each site has a campfire ring and a bear box. This campground is popular for people with motorcycles and ATV's, so if that bothers you be warned!
There is lots of hiking nearby and spots to swim in the creek, not many fishing spots though. Vault toilets are clean and non-potable water spigots are all over the place. Kennedy Meadows store is a 30 min drive away if you need anything. Nice campground, if not a little on the boring side :)

Beautiful area in the Sierras at about 8000 ft, creek fishing and hiking trails all over the area. Also access to OHV USFS Roads . We stayed in the walk in sites and did a short Backpack trip, but a small trailer would be ok here as well. Pit toilets and spigots for water plus bear boxes . Great location for a Sierra adventure. Beautiful area in the Sierras at about 8000 ft, creek fishing and hiking trails all over the area. Also access to OHV USFS Roads . We stayed in the walk in sites and did a short Backpack trip, but a small trailer would be ok here as well. Pit toilets and spigots for water plus bear boxes . Great location for a Sierra adventure. Road is slow and tight gttting in from Hwy 395 but worth the trip.
No Cell coverage with any carrier...makes for a tech free trip.
