Overview of Tritle Mountain Road Designated Dispersed Campsites 15-16

Camp only in designated dispersed campsites and in developed campgrounds within Prescott Basin around the city of Prescott. See map for details: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprd3797787.pdf. Dispersed camping is allowed outside of Prescott Basin.

Stay limit is 14 days in a 30-day period in Prescott National Forest, except Prescott Basin which is limited to 7 days in designated dispersed campsites only.

Campfires allowed in provided fire rings only. During fire restrictions, campfires are not allowed in these designated dispersed camp sites.

Accessibility is not guaranteed, always scout ahead before driving down dirt roads. Learn more: Boondocking 101.

Well, to qualify this, it was 32F when we arrived about 3 pm. The road in was muddy, but we had just done the Mount Union Overlook trail, so it was like a paved road to us. Trittle mountain road is graded and in good repair with only a few bumpy spots. To reach this site you must cross a stream which washes over the road (see photo). The site can be a pull through and is the last turn around on the road. It can fit multiple large rigs and there are a few areas that may be level enough. It receives dapp... more

We loved our spot at the end of the Mt Tittle turn off from Senator Highway. Though OHV vehicles traversed, nothing very late. Spot felt pretty quite, as we had polite neighbors.
