The Tree Phones Campground is located in the Ahtanum State Forest. It is a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) managed facility. It has 13 sites at no cost to stay overnight. The Ahtanum Creek runs near one side of the Campground. The DNR did a major overhaul of the entire campground (New Gravel, Landscaping, Fire Pits, & Picnic Tables). One side of the Campground you are in the trees & the other side you are a little more in the open. Darland Mountain & the Ridge background are snow covered. There are great amenities if you bring horses. ATV's are also popular and there are lots of trails, & forest roads to explore. There is an old hand pump for water. This is a best kept secret in the area. It is 6 miles on a gravel/dirt road to here. I had no problem pulling my 25' JAYCO up here. Just beautiful!
