I arrived after dark and nearly bottomed out on the deeply rutted roads. This was my second stay at Travertine and the roads had deteriorated substantially. My campsite was on a hilltop overlooking Bridgeport. Excellent cell coverage with Verizon. No garbage or debris. It was a cold night. Had the heater on and opened a vent window just in case. Awoke to see steam vents above the hot springs and fantastic views of the mountains to the west.

I arrived when it was dark and had trouble finding a place to park but I eventually did find a really good spot with lots of space that had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was really cold but that’s to be expected. Completely quiet all the time. Three bars T-Mobile three bars Verizon, I could teach online with both.

Great hot springs, well worth a visit, but there are much better camping options in the area than the occasional little pull outs by a dusty road that are legal to use for camping. The area near the hot springs itself is only legal for day use parking.

Signs all over say no camping. Great hot springs unfortunately people are ruining it by leaving beer caps and cigarette butts. We are going to lose our freedoms to stay at these beautiful places if careless people keep this up. Picked up this trash so the next person can enjoy the spot.

This seems to be a fairly popular camping area because of the nearby natural hotsprings (about .2 miles away. Dispersed camping. We were able to find a fairly level spot with our rig but larger rigs would find it challenging.

Easily access off 395 south of Bridgeport (where overnight parking on streets is not allowed). Dirt roads with some ruts and potholes, but drivable. Depending on the sites, don’t expect them to be too level. But the views are very nice. Fairly busy the mid week we stayed.

Didn't drive all the way to the hot springs. Found a pull off early on maybe 1/4 mi up the dirt road off to the right. I recommend detaching toad in advance. The road is rough, but just need to take it slow. Lots of dirt. My major issue is that it is super busy with cars driving in and out all day/night. Do not expect privacy from other campers. Everyone is nice, it is just very busy/popular location. We were here the middle of the week in October and it was still busy.

Road is a bit rough but not long.
Plenty of space to park but not super private.
If you follow the road to the right at the fork, it leads to several hot spring pools. You’ll see a sign. There’s a parking lot and a bathroom. Cool chill spot.
