What sucks about Michigan’s State Parks is that they’re too popular. There is no such thing as a waiting list. If you’re flexible and plan to be there during the week, you can usually string together multiple sites. Weekends are tough to get a spot typically. If you don’t need to be directly in TC, Interlochen SP is about 30 min south. There are private campgrounds in that area too.
