Yes there will be a chance of snow and freezing weather. We encountered snow and freezing weather in mid May. Upside is that the park won’t be too crowded.

Yes you definitely need to be prepared for snow. We were there on Easter in 2018 and it was snowy! The climate in Flagstaff is way different than the rest of Arizona :)
