The pads are well maintained gravel with wood borders. My spot required minimal levelling. There are no services. No water, electricity or dump station. There was a dumpster in the RV loop and a vault toilet. The closest potable water and dump stations are at Horseshoe Bend campground or in the town of Lovell, next to their town RV park which was very clean and had strong water pressure.
Both Barry's Landing Road and Big Horn Canyon Road are smooth, asphalt roads.
There are about 9 back-in sites and 2 pull along beside sides in the RV loop. The back-in sites could easily handle a 30' trailer. All sites had a fire ring, picnic table, bear-proof storage cabinet and lantern hook.
Uphill from the RV loop, there are two tent-only "loops" that are walk-in only. There is an RV back-in site at one of the tent-only areas that may be for the camp host. Parking for the tent sites could be cramped as the only place to park is in a pull-out along the road.
The RV loop can be a bit challenging if you don't like your neighbor. The spots are closer together than I would like. My neighbors burned all their trash in their camp fire, including plastic. Yuck.
Extra vehicles can be parked at the Barry's Landing "marina" parking lot down the road. There is no marina, just a high quality dock and boat ramp.
The price went up to $15 at the end of 2019. Cash or check made out to the folks that run the marina at Horseshoe Bend campground/marina.
Fishing in the canyon requires a boat. Fishing from the dock/marina may be productive, but I didn't see anyone catch anything there. Take a canoe or kayak 600 yards from the dock, back into the cove to the west, and you'll catch some nice bass.
Spotty Verizon 4G (two bars at most) could be found 1.5 miles to the south of the intersection of Barry's Landing Road and Big Horn Canyon Road. The guys with ATT said they had to drive almost ten miles back towards town to get enough signal. Within the campground there is zero service.

We stayed on an asphalt pad, nearly level, next to the tents only campground of Trail Creek. First turnout appears to be a group campsite, park up on the road and walk down to a large shelter, pit toilet, and 4 gravel pads with fire rings, definitely not level at pullout on the road. Just before the 2nd pullout is the nice fairly level asphalt pad. Maybe for a camp host in the summer? Multiple gravel pads with table and ring for tent campers only, everyone is supposed to park in the pullout, lovely woods next to creek. No pit toilet. Erratic posts, no info about fees. 3rd camping area has trailer sites, basically a gravel lot with no privacy, sign for fees and a fee post. Fees are ridiculously high for improved sites but I’m not sure what is an improved site and what is not, since I don’t see any improvements. Hard to say. Tent only sites are the only worthwhile ones in my opinion, but probably can’t use the asphalt pad unless you’re in the off season. Lots of beer and liquor bottles in fire pits.

The Barry's Landing area actually consists of 2 campgrounds, Trail Creek CG and Barry's Landing. There are approximately 25 sites in the Trail Creek CG and 4 sites at Barry's Landing. Both campgrounds are accessed from the Barry's Landing road which is about 15 miles or so from Horseshoe Bend Campground. The road to either campground is paved and easy travel. These campgrounds are about 1 mile apart. There is also Tent camping areas before getting to the Trail Creek CG with lots of trees. Barry's Landing is used by day use fisherman/boaters for their trailers (there is a boat ramp) and the sites there provide a beautiful view if not too windy. During season changes, it may be too windy at Barry's Landing for some people, but again you have a beautiful view. All campgrounds have a vault toilet.
More sites exist at Trail Creek CG, although they are spaced fairly close together without much vegetation or privacy. However, there are more trees and better bird viewing at this campground. All of my stay was at Trail Creek CG since it was spring and very windy at Barry's Landing area. Water and very easy Dump station are at Horseshoe Bend, so if you need either, do it before coming up. Very quiet and peaceful during my stay and only had a few other campers. Trailer Creek and Barry's Landing will fit most trailers and Class C's. I love sites #22 - #24 at Trail Creek, more privacy. No reservations here.
Note: NO cell service at any of the campgrounds. However, 10 miles south of Barry's Landing is a pull-out and I had 2 bars of LTE there and possibly up near Lockhart Ranch road (non-paved) there is service. Some fun, easy, historical hiking up near Brady's Landing of old ranches, get hiking brochure at Visitor's Center. Also there are canyon boat rides near the Horseshoe Bend CG. Overall, a very interesting place to visit.
Easy to visit the Pryor Mountain Mustangs, Queen Bee Candies (made from Honey) in Lowell, WY, and further up in to the Big Horn Mountains.

Scenery is spectacular on the way in and at the site. From this CG you are close to three pioneer homestead ranches worth a visit with a little walking. Hiking, fishing and hunting is a big activety here next to sight seeing.
This is fascinating country.
