This is an interesting place to camp. It's a city park, and it is well used. So there are always people coming and going, and it can be noisy. But it does finally get quiet around 9-10. On the other hand, this city park is beautiful. The river flows through it, and there is a wooden bridge over the river. There is a playground, and a clean bathroom with flush toilets. The city of Meeker is small and if you are a walker you can walk pretty much anywhere in town. There are a number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the park. As in many small towns, many of the businesses are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Verizon service on my cell phone was terrible. Phone calls sounded bad and sometimes I had no data at all. My Verizon jetpack hotspot did better for some reason. Both AT&T and T-mobile worked well, with T-mobile being the clear winner if I moved the hotspot to the South side of the RV. AT&T was 60Mbs down and 20 up. T-mobile was 120Mbs down and 20 up. When I walked around town I carried my AT&T hotspot with me so my phone would have data.
There are only room for 3-4 rigs near the power poles. There are only 3 power poles so you might need to share. When I arrived there was only 1 spot available. I think the price is a little expensive for camping in a parking lot though. It costs $25/night as of October 2022.
This would be a great place for an overnight, but I actually stayed here a week. Loved the small town charm.

Super bright lights and sprinklers that are so poorly aimed they “water” your rig. Not to mention the locals who just come and idle their diesel trucks in the parking lot, smoking you out and causing ungodly racket. Price has gone up to $25 for an RV stay, and it is not worth it.

We stopped her after reading the reviews on our way to the Million Dollar Highway…. as The McMillan Express stated - the stop is more than it appears. It will definitely be on our list to stay at again…

Don’t look at the following as a negative! Keep reading! The campground isn’t really a campground but a clean, paved parking lot with a few places for any size rig to have electric hookups. (20/30/50 amp) There’s a dump and water fill station but no sewer or water hookups. Directly behind where you will park the rig, there is access to the White River, picnic tables, and grills. There is a paved trail along the river, a covered pavilion, big playground, plenty of trees to relax in the shade, flushing toilet restrooms, and a very short walk to town which is WONDERFUL! The people in this town are the friendliest we’ve come across. The restaurants are all so good! ‘The Fork’ restaurant was dynamite. There’s a great museum (a must see!) and they have farmers markets with live music twice a month. As far as the negatives… no Verizon service but there’s free WiFi which worked very well for us. Quiet hours are at 10pm and it finally quieted down around this time. It’s a very active park with kids, teens, folks walking dogs, etc. But, again it’s a city park and getting great use from the townspeople. We absolutely loved our time here.

We were looking for a spot to camp with electric for the blistering heat wave that unexpectedly hit. We were on our way to Utah and happened upon this park.
When I called, the staff was incredibly friendly and that held true for when we met them in person as well. The spots are in a parking lot area, but don’t let that discourage you. Right outside your door is the White River that our 5 year old played in, a great playground, BBQ grills, tables and not too far is a bike/ATV trail. The town has 4 parks and a great Rex center and tons of other biking/hiking trails.
Just a note that the tent sites are in a beautiful grassy area!
We were only there for a short stay but added it to our list of places to come back to visit .

There are 3 RV spaces in the main parking lot with electric pedestals offering 50, 30 & 20 amp. This is a well used park so there's a steady flow of traffic in & out of the parking lot throughout the day. Friday & Saturday nights were noisy, lots of young folks with skateboards & music enjoying the nice weather, but no problems & all was quiet by 10 P.M. Law enforcement & park staff regularly drive through to monitor the grounds.
Across the river & over a bridge are 5 nice tent sites for $10 a night. Beautiful views!
Dump station on site, potable water, pavilions, tables, grills, playground, basketball & sand volleyball courts & large clean flush toilet bathrooms.

This is a very nice city park with heated restrooms, a nice pavilion, playground equipment, a river walk and overnight RV parking with electrical hookups for $20.00 a night (30 and 50 amp service). RVs park on a clean, new concrete parking area that is safe and easy to access. Dogs are welcome and can be off leash. The park is very clean and well maintained. We stayed one night on November 3rd, but we also stopped here in September to run our dogs. This will always be a camp stop for me when traveling this area of Colorado. Meeker also has some nice restaurants for a smaller rural town. Enjoy!
