Topeka Hilltop Campground

The smell of cat peep and poop is overwhelming. If you have kids, don't come here. The playground is a giant litter box and you have to watch out for poop where you step.

The staff is friendly. We paid for a week but stayed for two days. The staff only charged for two days.

The campground is a little rundown but suited our needs of electricity, water and a dump site. The sites are not level. The pool was sparkling clean and looked great. The manager is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of permanent/long term motorhomes in the park and most are not looked after with old furniture scattered around. We were given the password for the WiFi but we couldnt hook up so we just used our own. The laundry was another matter :( The stench in the laundry from cat urine/faeces was over powering and made me dry wretch. I needed to wash so I battled as quick as I could. Something needs to be done about that. There are a lot of cats around but I am a cat lover so it didnt worry me. If the smell in the laundry was eradicated and the permanents clean around there vans a little, this could be a wonderful out of the way place. In saying all this, I would stay again due to the price and amenities offered :)
