Long, rough road in to the sites. It was very rocky and rutted in some areas. A slow, steady pace saw us through though in a Chevy box truck. The site we slept at had a pit toilet, picnic tables and fire rings. Only one level spot in this area but a very worn and rutted driveway to it. Wow! We stayed at this campsite earlier this week in January on a Thursday night between Joshua Tree & San Diego (about 2 hours to each). We are doing the #vanlife thing driving a Ford E350 extended club van with a Kawasaki motorcycle hitched on the rear.
