New to boondocking. Do many people leave their trailers alone there while exploring Bryce Canyon in the daytime?

Yes, we did. Many campers where empty during day and then people start work their way back towards the end of the day. We replaced our door locks and put locks on our tires while gone.

I've camped there with both my trailer and tent, and have left both there with no problems. I wouldn't leave my Ipad and generator out, but chairs and toys will probably be ok.

If I remember correctly this boon dock spot was not super super packed and there was a variety of situations going on from single trailers parked and the people sightseeing to small groups of trailers parked together with what appeared to be people that knew each other and were camping together. We parked pretty far in with a great view of the mountains. We have an rv so we did not leave it to explore. I have seen people do this at most Boondocking places. This one seemed a little safer to do so than others.

Short answer yes. We stayed at Tom's best for a week and loved it. So close to Bryce and also Red Rock canyon. The only place we felt we needed extra security was while boondocking in Lutz, Florida where we put a chain and lock through our wheels.

Yes, many people leave their campers during the day. We've done it at dozens of boondocking sites and never had any issue.

Yes. We were there last summer and boondocked along Toms Best Spring Road. We usually leave it locked and we place a lock on the tongue and also use our scissor tire stops with a lock to help secure the trailer. Of course we have everything insured! We have done this in a few places and have done well so far.

Yes, we were there a few days and left it every day to go explore. Camper's coming and going during the day so we felt safe leaving it. Nothing was ever moved or bothered at our site.

Yes we left ours during the day for about 5 days with no issues. I do keep things locked up.
