“Quietest Rest Stop In USA”

An amazingly quiet rest stop on route from Twin Falls to Craters of the Moon. There was one other car overnighting and no traffic/highway noise whatsoever. Granted, also precious little cell service but worth it! Be aware, this stop only allows 8 hours, unlike the 16 hours in the rest of the state.

We stayed based on reviews here on Campendium. There was only two of us who spent the night, but trucks passed through throughout the night, but didn't stay. Fortunately we can "live" in our fifth wheel with all the slides in, because of the truck traffic having your slides out is not a good idea. There is a dog walking area, but for some reason, people think they don't have to pickup after their pets in designated pet walk areas, so you definitely had to watch where you walked. The bathrooms were clean and nice. For a good night's rest you would be better off going to the free campground just West of here or the free fish hatchery parking area, 9 miles East.

The long parking spots are a bit narrow so pick a spot on the end if you want to put a slide out. Very easy to access from any direction of the compass on highway 75 or 20. AT&T service was great, Verizon service was in and out, maybe usable with a booster.

I love finding rest areas off the interstates - they tend to be smaller and less crowed, and without the grumble of semi trucks. Great views, clean bathrooms, and plenty of grass for the dog to explore make this a great overnight stop, especially if you don't want to push onwards another 50 minutes to Ketchum/Sun Valley.
