Park was nice and quiet during the week but got busier on the weekend & holidays. While the facilities may be older, we had everything we needed in our RV so we didn't get to use them much. The staff was getting ramped up for the summer season and everyone was nice.
The camp store has basic items. The campground has an odd layout (old and new area) but made for nice loops for walking our dog. The older part of the campground has a lot of mature trees and shade while the new section is more bare. We stayed in the older section during our stay, and with spring, we got a lot of 'sap' on our RV roof which was the only negative. The laundry facility was clean.
The main road was under construction but the campground was close enough to amenities. We often rode our bike to the nearby bicycling trails.
Internet was ok - needed some boosting. You can't do starlink in the 'old' section but the new section has a clear view of the sky so we would assume it would work just fine.
Overall our stay was quiet and we would return in the shoulder seasons again.

We stayed here for 4 days, and spent most of our time visiting friends so didn’t spend a lot of time there. The pool was ok, the playground equipment was ancient, the game room needed serious updating and the “fishing pond” is completely surrounded by thick cattails aside from a couple openings. One half of the campground is wooded, the other is basically an open field with gravel paths. I would only stay here again if I had a wooded spot. Packed in pretty tight, but easy to get in and out of. Staff was friendly, but got a little testy when they wanted to charge our friend a small fee to simply come pick us up, which she politely declined. Overall decent, busy place that could use some upgrades.

This review is our experience during our stay. This park is very conveniently located, the entrance to the park is very confusing. With a narrow one lane bridge to navigate with a 43’ fifty wheel was not ideal and the lack of signage for the office. The office staff was rude and unhelpful. The park is extremely dusty and was not a memorable or enjoyable visit. They need to take care of the entrance for larger rigs.

Car trouble led me to Timberline. My tow vehicle had to have service due to an engine issue and needed to find a park for my Airstream. Timberline was able to get me into a full hookup spot on a holiday weekend! When I asked if they could recommend anyone who could tow the trailer, Marta said that her husband would come get me! I was amazed! Matt came, towed me to the campground, and wouldn't take anything for helping me out. He said, "That's what we do." I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a lovely park and great people!

We stayed here overnight just passing through the area. Although the 90 sites they have to offer are all packed into a smaller area, they seem to be laid out well for entering and exiting with our 36 foot fifth wheel. I watched a couple others come in with bigger rigs and they seem to have no issues backing into sites. Site was fairly level side to side. Park was very clean and staff extremely accommodating. They are very good with the barking dog police. When I made my reservation, I had requested a pull through because we wanted to remain hitched up and depart easily in the morning. When I got to the office they had us in the back and that would not accommodate remaining hitched. But it was easily remedied, and we got our pull through. We were here in mid October and the weather had taken a turn toward winter. The washroom facilities below the registration office was kept toasty warm and very clean. They are adding another complete section of campsite. Wi-Fi was good where we were, it was nice to have the 50 amp to run heaters! You could hear the faint sound of I 80, but it was not enough to be a problem for light sleepers.

We were glad to get a site day of on our drive through Des Moines. I was quoted $44/night over the phone for a W/E site but, after all their fees, actually paid just over $51/night. I would rather have been told the full amount when I asked initially. Our site was a level, easy pull through. The big, clean pool was a welcome relief from the heat! Showers were clean and warm with good water pressure. Dump station was easily accessible with a convenient hose for holding tank flush. The Rec Room left a bit to be desired with multiple broken/nonfunctional games. We decided to stay a second night so we could explore Des Moines for a day and were pleased that Timberline could accommodate us without having to change sites. Overall, a very good experience and would stay here again.
