Prachtig plek voor een nachtje. Erg mooi uitzicht en meer rust. Wij hebben gewoon camper (25ft) daar overnachtingen. No problem.

It is a long drive from Gardiner up a winding road with great views of the town below. We passed some elk on the way up that were not afraid of people at all. We weren't sure if a free campsite would fill up quickly, especially in July, but it was empty when we got there. Each site has a fire pit and a parking spot. There is an outhouse within walking distance. We did not encounter any bears despite many signs warning us about them. The road up the mountain is full of potholes so I would not recommend it to the faint of heart. I can't unselect Verizon, but I know AT&T and T-Mobile did not have service. However, going back the way you came is easy as there are not a lot of forks in the road.
