We went to the state forest campground nearby and it was horrible,No hook ups, rough sites, dirt roads and they wanted $31. For out of state people. We Googled Thunder Bay RV Park an it was just 4 mile away and we pulled into this nice campground. It was $35. for water and electric and we choose a nice grass site with shade trees. I would recommend this campground.

Kreig is a great guy (site owner), spent all night around the camp fire trading stories. The site has showers with room heaters and scolding hot water. Now he's telling me to put away my phone and stealing my Jack Daniels 😂

After so many over crow get, noisy, and overpriced state campgrounds, Thunder Bat was a welcome relief. Quit, laid back atmosphere. Craig, who I’m assuming is the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. I don’t have kids, nor were there any rambunctious kids running around, so I can’t speak to how kid friendly the campground might be... more
After so many over crow get, noisy, and overpriced state campgrounds, Thunder Bat was a welcome relief.
Quit, laid back atmosphere. Craig, who I’m assuming is the owner, was very friendly and welcoming.
I don’t have kids, nor were there any rambunctious kids running around, so I can’t speak to how kid friendly the campground might be as far as a playground.
No screaming, loud kids was actually very nice for a change! Very affordable too. 5 of 5 stars!
Some traffic noise, but not a particularly busy road. A little ways back from main road.
I’ve certainly heard worse.
