The campground is clean and all facilities are well maintained. The sites are pretty open as a result of hurricane damage in 2018. The road in is also in desperate need of repair. We came here planning to stay 4 nights. However, as we pulled into the park the transmission in our van failed. The camp hosts were very sympathetic and helped us extending our stay and finding transportation while we had the van repaired! Thank you!
The trails are wide and mowed. The forest was devastated by Michael and is slowly coming back.
Lots of great bird watching opportunities.

Small state park with reasonably separated level sites on the waters os Lake Seminole. Little shady sites but always a tree to sit under. Fishing is good. Pier to watch the alligators. Road into park has not been repaired since hurricane (which also took out trees) which makes going slow.

It has potholes that has been filled in with gravel making the road in rough. But taking it nice and slow, not a big issue. Our camper is 14 ft so easily fits almost anywhere, however my sister and family came for four days and has no issues with her 26’ camper. The sunrise was especially beautiful. The rangers were very friendly and helpful.

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Stayed 2 nights in 35 foot RV+tow car at $22/night. The road in is very rough and rugged, but was completely manageable if you just go slowly (and weave a bit to avoid the huge holes). Hard to do a fair overall review as we had tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms with buckets of rain most of the time. Our fire pit was under water. But the weather cleared somewhat on the last day, great hiking trails, some along the water, but of course very muddy from the storm. Fabulous birding including bald eagle nests. Bathrooms clean.

This is a beautiful park on the water. The views at sunrise and sunset are breathtaking. The night sky is like being in a planetarium but it's real!
If it weren't for the roads in the campground being all torn up, I would have given this a 5 star rating. So as of this writing, be prepared for a slow and bumpy ride.

We stayed in site 008 next to the river. It is a quiet little park with 30 sites. It is off the beaten path but great night sky and fishing in the campground.

We regret that we only had one night to spend at Three Rivers. We stayed here on a one night stop over traveling home. We will be putting this park on our destination list for the future. Our site was right on the water with a beautiful view. There was a large quantity of birds, both in and out of the water. We wished we had more time to launch our kayaks because it looked like the perfect place to explore the water. My husband is looking forward to fishing when we return. We did not use the bathrooms, but the rest of the park was clean. The road going in is getting deteriorated, but we went slow and had no problems. The only reason I didn't give it an overall 5-star rating is due to the road.

This lakefront campground is a boater's dream, with a boat ramp right in the campground that is separate from the day use boat ramp. Lake Seminole covers tens of thousands of acres, and the lake shore around the campground is undeveloped so there are plenty of birds and alligators to be seen and different fish to be caught. For those without a boat, there is a small pier extending into the lake that is part of the campground and makes an excellent spot for fishing, wildlife viewing, and enjoying sunrises and sunsets. The lakefront spots (8-11 and 13-15) are obviously the primo sites but any of them are pretty good. Be aware that lake-front sites may have more foot traffic from people heading to the boat ramp or the pier. We enjoyed site 6 with foliage around the site and indirect views of the lake from our rear window, plus no people walking through the site.
The campground is fairly small, and sites are spaced out relatively well. Hurricane Michael definitely affected the tree cover but the park service has obvious worked on restoration by planting lots of new saplings. We thought privacy was quite acceptable despite the obvious after effects of the storm. Access is easy on uncrowded paved roads, though the roads within the state park have some big potholes -- just take it slow when driving in and out of the park.
Speeds on AT&T (good amount of bars but overloaded tower): Download 1.23 Mbps Upload 6.03 Mbps.
Utilities (water and electric) worked perfectly, and the bathhouse is clean, brightly lit, and in good shape, consistent with other Florida state parks. We visited in July, which we don't recommend because of the heat and humidity, but we found it to be surprisingly free of bothersome bugs. Our biggest insect issue was biting ants in our campsite that attacked our toes when we weren't paying attention.
We really liked that there is a hiking trail leaving directly from the campground. The Lakeview hiking trail is a nice example of Florida hiking -- limited elevation change, but interesting views of the lake and plenty of trees and birds. Our GPS clocked a round trip of Lakeview plus the Eagle Trail loop at 4.8 miles.
Since we visited during the pandemic we had no interest in checking out nearby towns, but in any case there doesn't seem to be a lot in the area. This is a quiet and remote little fishing/kayaking destination, though it is not far from I-10 for those traveling on the highway. We loved the peace and quiet and the natural serenity of the area, and the park is a steal at just $16/night (plus online reservation fee and local sales/bed taxes).

They have done an amazing job with this park after the hurricane. Very peaceful, not overcrowded with a trail that shows the devastation of Michael and an American Bald Eagle. Clean amenities and super friendly staff. I am coming back here soon!

The 'town' of Sneads is actually sort of scary! The only worse Florida state park campground is Goldhead....at least in our humble opinion! Why camp alongside a bunch of drunken rednecks if you don't have to....or if this is your thing, you'll LOVE it here...!
