I'm not a gambler so don't understand how the 50 points works. Do I need to gamble $50 per day in slots or some other form of gambling to acquire another night of staying in the parking lot?

I believe $2 is one point. But you can get points spending and winning money, so you technically don’t have to spend $100 to get points. Winning $100 would get you 50 points as well.
