Some reviews talk about the train. We stayed at the closest spot to the train and barely noticed it. Highway noise is non existent.
Note: ticks abound down by the river. If you have a dog be sure to check them daily.

We've never stayed here during the summer (peak) season but fall camping in October/November is reliably peaceful and rejuvenating. Water is turned off around Nov 1, but power stays on all year. Only the upper campground is open after Nov 1 as well, but the view of the river is way better up there anyway. Of the 43 sites in the upper CG, we never had more than 4-5 neighbors on a given night. Occasional light railroad noise. Immediate access to the winery. Spacious sites. Looks like a frisbee golf paradise. There is a small herd of deer that obviously live in the trees around the lower CG that is a beautiful walk. We had strong Verizon cell reception all week, with no issue working/studying/streaming. We loved our stay and will probably make this an annual Fall getaway. 10 minutes off the freeway. VERY FEW MASKS at the in-town grocery store

Stayed in the lower section. Water treatment plant nextdoor and stagnate waterway beside the river made the fly population where we couldn’t hangout outside our RV. Other than that, not bad. Great walking around the park. Relatively quiet.

Campsites are very spacious especially between other sites. The price is very reasonable. The companion sites accommodate 2 recreational vehicles but are very small, especially if you have large RV’s with slides. It is perfect for a trailer and small motorhome but if you have two 30’ trailers with slides, it’s very, very tight. Trailer doors are not able to face towards each other. It would be nice if the companion sites were pull-throughs so the doors could face each other.
There was a large open grassy area in the middle of the park which was nice and the whole park had large shade trees. The restroom/shower facility in the middle of the common area (showers were closed due to Covid-19) were very clean. Each campsite had a nice aluminum picnic table and metal fire ring.
There was very little access to the Snake river other than the boat ramp which is in town. We purchased a fishing license but there isn’t really a place to fish other than off the bridge and we did catch a small brown trout. We floated the river on rafts and tubes from the boat ramp to the lower campground by the cabins. It took about an hour. We heard that you can float from Kings Hill to the boat ramp which takes about 3 hours. The boat ramp has FREE life vests to borrow, which was super convenient.
The town was very disappointing. It was suggested to visit the Fudge Factory (very small with only 3 varieties of fudge and some ice cream), Smith’s Hardware Store was just a typical hardware store. I guess the younger generation might be interested to see a hardware store from the past, but our youth weren’t impressed. And the City Pool was small and had no seating (not a good place for social distancing). We didn’t make it to the Y Knot Winery. The Southside Market is small but full of great items. The Oregon Trail History Center and Museum is within walking distance from the campsites. It’s small but very interesting with covered wagons and the ferry is located down by the river. Due to Covid, the video presentations were closed but self-guided tours are encouraged. The Center has a small gift shop. Make sure you wear a mask.
The camp hosts were very delightful. Bring your own firewood or you can purchase some from the camp hosts or in town for $5 a bundle. We had taken our own firewood and didn’t burn it all so we donated it to the camp hosts. The camp hosts also have ice for $1.50 per 10 lb bag. You can also purchase it at the local Market ($3/20lb).
If you have time, visit Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls (https://youtu.be/CCC9pg_A2vM; (https://youtu.be/QeviTi_5vo8). It’s worth the hour drive. Also, in Hagerman visit the Thousand Springs Park and Minnie Miller Dairy on Ritter Island (https://youtu.be/q4CNUiEb8xM; https://parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/ritter-island-history), and Hagerman Fossil Museum.
We loved the RV park and would stay there again but probably not for 4 days.

We loved our stopover here and would’ve liked to spend more time. Next time, next time! Sites are paved, pretty level, and surrounded with grass. Most sites had some trees for shade as well as beautiful views of the snake river valley. We had water and electric hookups and used the dump station in our way out. Great dump station - the non potable hose had a threaded end to help clean out the black water tank. This is pretty rare in Washington where we live so we really appreciated it!
The disc golf course here is no joke! Most of the holes were 300 feet. About half are in a manicured area and the other half are in more brushy areas so wear heavy shoes. Also, watch for the “water hazard” on hole 10.... you might not be able to retrieve your disc if you launch it on that hole.
We popped into Y-Not winery next door and really enjoyed the Sancerre that we picked up. We would like to spend more time here when things open up again.
We will definitely stay here in the future and check out their info on the Oregon trail (it was closed due to COVID during our stay).

We reserved site 82 (a long pull-thru site) through Reserve America, an easy process; had a 30 amp electrical and water hookup. There is a dump station on site at the top of the hill as you exit the park. Campground set up in an oval loop with rv sites on the outside and restroom/shower building in the middle – easy access. Green grass and shade trees everywhere, an open and airy campground with ample room between sites – no crowding here. Well cared for, grass was cut, trees provided ample shade, paved roadways and site pads. Each site has a nice aluminum picnic table and fire pit and all sites good sized – a very relaxing atmosphere. RV dump station at the top of the hill when exiting is easy to access and use. Restroom/shower building needed some TLC and showed its wear lacking general maintenance. It was clean inside but it ended there. Would have rated this park a 5 star but because of the lack of maintenance in the restroom/shower building it gets a 3 star.
