Arrived at TT Vegas from a stop over in St George. Upon reading some past reviews there was a mention of the U turn on Boulder St to get into the entrance to TT..
Some have said "OMG" or "three lanes of high speed traffic to do a u turn.."" blah blah blah.. While you do have the possibility of a U turn if you come that way Google/ GPS maps it not that bad. Yes there is 3 lanes of traffic but you have a Bus Lane on the right side of the road you can get in, and there is a traffic light not far down the road.
It's not a tight turn and I have done, over the course of the 9 days, that turn a bunch of times.. we have to wait to turn some and some we come to a clear road. (we can down Nells Rd due to a wreck on I-15 so we did not do the u-turn) ..
The TT sign a tall brown sign somewhat hidden behind the " Mobile Home Depot" sign. a bright yellow deal. So be looking for that when make the U-turn.
We got assigned site 93,, on the end by the LP refill station ( $3.24 gallon, Costco $2.08) and the grass and trees etc. during the fall, late Oct, you get some afternoon shade (spot 94 is better shade) both are nice and deep and good width compared to the other spot we saw when riding bikes around the compound. (this whole section 93 -103 are nice) some of the spot in back 1-43 were tighter and not as deep it seems. .
We did some laundry in restroom #3 which has 2 washer and 2 dryers. $1.25 for front load washer and 1.25 for 60 mins of dryer.. (dryer vent need CLEANING) the washer work well dryer OK.. (if you need more time there is no way to just add a quarter you have to do the entire 1.25.. ) remember you are in the desert.. hanging stuff up will dry rather quickly in or outside.
You do some airplane noise depending on wind direction, there are helicopters that fly around, and the EMS truck with sirens, typical city stuff.. We did not hear of any thiefs the area which is surrounded with a wall and barbed wire on top.
You are not from the the Strip and the Fremont Experience. the bus system https://www.rtcsnv.com/, The Deuce, https://www.visitlasvegas.com/experience/post/getting-around-vegas/ runs up and down boulder and the strip which is a nice easy to get on and off experience. I had people tell me to Stay off Boulder at night..
I was out there at night and it not that bad.. You get on the bus, you ride, you get off the bus no problem.. The "homeless" know not to screw around with the "visitors" or they will get bounced out of the area QUICK. If you have a problem let the driver know.. A day bus fare ticket is $8 bucks..3 days pass is $20. there is a stop to the left down about 100 yards heading toward strip and on across boulder to the right a little further but not that far when walking and well lit at night.
Visit Red Rock Canyon,, NPS pass work there, the hiking is great and the area amazing.. We did the "Tanks" hike and it was some scrambling up rocks :) .. great view at the end if you go a bit further up the rocks..
Hoover dam and lake mead, boulder city close.. lots to do or just stay put and chill .. t
he water here is HARD.. 375 TDS.. we got a water softener to help with this.. ALso a water dispenser by the #2 restrooms at .25 gallon.. 15 TDS large enough for a 5 gallon container.. (you put in a quarter it runs and then stops.. you put anonter .25 each gallon.. etc etc. etc. )
The pool was open and heated.. hot tub not.. (???) that make no sense.. They could use some solar water heating panels like you see in florida..
Over all a nice place.. much better than some of the reviews but you have to temper with the fact this is not costing you other than for 50 amp. There are several other RV places we drove through that are not the $35 a night better for the most part.. (the are nice for sure)
We like it here and plan to come back in the future..

Stayed a week in the middle of May. I should start by saying we were only in Vegas to have our Jeep worked on. We do not gamble and would not normally have gone to Vegas. I say this because if you go to Vegas for the strip then this is probably perfect for you but if you were going to Vegas for business or other purposes I would pay to find another place outside of Vegas. It is cramped noisy and some of the full-time residents are living in truck campers without the trucks. Hosts were nice and accommodating.

We're here in March 2019 with the COVID-19 scare, just as states are starting to shut down businesses and threatening travel restrictions.
Based on reviews from so many different sites, we expected something along the lines of Pacifica, which is to say a literal parking lot. WRONG! It's an older campground so the sites are not huge, but we had no problems getting all 43' tucked in. One neighbor volunteered to move their vehicle which made things so much easier. Room for slides? You bet! Much more than Pacifica has. Parking the truck is a challenge, though as it's only 53'x20 (which is fairly large for this campground). The sites are almost all gravel with the trees and shrubs where possible... it's a desert, so they're doing a great job on that.
They assign spots here, so you don't have to worry about a 25' trailer taking up a big-rig site. I like that a lot. While it's fun to be in a prime location, I have never complained about assigned spaces since they are simply trying to fit everyone in as best they can.
The laundry facilities are small and a bit beat up, but there are plenty of services in the area to deal with almost any need. The staff is friendly as heck and the grounds are clean and fairly well maintained. LP is sold M-F from 8:30am to 4pm.
Cell reception is good, and about a gazillion OTA channels (ok, about 80 usable channels).. Noise is a lot less than I expected with the occasional jerk running his loud muscle car, plus the irregular emergency vehicle passing nearby. Otherwise it's quite quiet and fairly dark at night as there is not a ton of external lighting. If you're close enough to the main building, you can pick up the WiFi signal. I have a USB powered external antenna and was able to get a usable signal, but their WiFi was being hit from every angle by other people desperate for bandwidth. Cox had opened up their system for the duration, and that wasn't bad for work needs.
Site Quality is being dinged one star due to the tightness of spaces. In Pacifica, the sites are quite long so it's easy to park your vehicle in your space without worrying about your neighbor. Here, it's a dance of vehicles whenever someone pulls in or out of a space and no two ways about it. However, the road is plenty wide to allow parking big-rigs if you've got a bit of game. A sliding hitch for your 5th wheel might come in handy.
Verizon is 3 bars, but there is an occasional glitch with streaming. However, it's not enough to do anything other than note that my Roku occasionally hiccups. AT&T is 2 bars and streaming live TV to my iPhone is flawless. Again, signal strength vs bandwidth; give me bandwidth. After several days here, it's apparent that everyone starts streaming their favorite cartoons around 10am and don't stop until around midnight. The cell system is completely overloaded and it becomes impossible to do remote work around noon. Luckily I'm working East Coast hours so I just start a couple hours earlier and can get everything done before the system locks up.
They have a nice looking dog park on the grounds. The nearest one is just good, but not well used at the moment. Another nearby park, called Dog Fancier's Park is beyond amazing. They have four large fenced areas and a fifth one that could probably hold a high school stadium with some parking. I've never seen a bigger, more beautiful dog park. There are lots of people here, but the size makes it very easy to keep our distance from each other while the dogs romp. This park alone makes it a city to remember.
If you're here outside of a pandemic or other natural disaster, I expect you'll find a lot of traffic, lots of people, and lots of good food and everything will be open. We got one day of that before it became a ghost town, but we're not into crowds so we only missed out on a bit of fun and interesting places to go. If we had to stay somewhere longer than planned due to some mandate, I would not complain loudly with being forced to stay here.
There are lots of grocery stores and other services near and far and I'm sure Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon are great attractions, but they are currently closed down. Hoover is less than 40 minutes away and Hoover a bit over two hours. Unfortunately neither advertised their closings except to put up a sign and guards at the entrances.
If you hear anyone complaining about this campground, simply smile and nod. They are likely TT haters and it's not worth the effort to argue with them.

Stayed 6 nights at the Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort. The resort is conveniently located within an easy drive to the Las Vegas Strip, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and the Hoover Dam. As a Thousand Trails Member, I have always been pleased with the value the membership brings to our RV camping portfolio. While this RV resort provides a basecamp to explore the surrounding area, there are simply too many rigs and tow vehicles crammed into the space. Once exploring the area was complete, We cut our stay short by two days and moved on. Again, there is value to be had here, we had full hookups and were 6.5 miles from the Las Vegas Strip - all at zero cost using our Thousand Trails Membership. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 9.60 Mbps download speed and 2.44 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 5.14 Mbps download speed and 0.36 Mbps upload speed.

Yes it is tight. Yes, you may have to move your daily driver when someone is leaving or pulling into a spot. You will have to pay for 50 amp service if you need that. No charges for receiving packages though. They do have propane for sale. Staff is very friendly. Pool is very nice as is the hot tub. Newly renovated rest room and shower. Sites are fairly level too. So, you decide what you want in a campground so close to all the action in Vegas. This certainly worked for me. You're in the city so had good cell service albeit would slow to a crawl at night on Verizon and not streamable at night. ATT was better and TMobile was okYou're in the city so you'll have the sounds of a city, ambulances, police, fire, racing vehicles and police helicopters. Outside these were more noticeable but inside I drowned them out with tv or music.

This isn't the nicest park in the world. Crowded, tight, noisy, bad neighborhood, etc., just like most urban RV parks. But friendly and helpful staff, older but clean facilities and decent location for seeing Vegas. Good internet signal, but the speeds are terrible at night due to overloaded towers and network management. And if you've got a Camping Pass or are a Thousand Trails member, you can't beat the price.
Looking for a place to spend a week or three relaxing and chilling, go elsewhere. Looking for a an inexpensive place to stay while visiting The Strip, Fremont Street, Hoover Dam, Red Rock, Valley of Fire, etc. and you've got some sort of Thousand Trails membership, this is the place because the competition, save the handful of luxury resorts, aren't any better and will cost a lot more money.

We have a Thousand Trails membership and that is quite literally the only reason we’d ever stay here again (it’s “free”).
THE GOOD
- Every member of their staff was friendly and helpful. This was consistent across the board and we were there for 3 weeks.
- The pool area is really nice and the pool is heated
- Grounds are well kept and clean
THE BAD
- The area surrounding the resort does not feel safe. At all. We heard sirens all the time and even heard gunshots close by one night.
- The spots are so crazy tight, if someone beside you doesn’t park just so, you may not be able to put your slides out.
- The women’s restroom smelled like death. Husband claims the men’s room was fine.:)
- Half of the laundry machines were out of order the entire time we were there.
- The cellular networks in the area must be overloaded. We had serious speed issues on Verizon even though signal was good.
- It’s incredibly noisy. You’re under a flight path to the airport, there are helicopters and sirens at all hours.
- There are no nice walks in the resort. You are staying inside of concrete walls with razor wire. And you don’t dare walk outside of the park.
- There were some seriously rude and cranky guests. I mean folks shouting at each other (and us!) while they were trying to get parked. I’ve never seen so many rude RVers in one place.

We stayed there last week and to say the least we had a less than stellar stay. We are part of the thousand trails membership program and this was our first time staying with them and we are thinking that we may regret our choices. First experience checking in took over an hour with reservations and was told I might not be able to park my truck on property due to space limitations (we had reservations FYI). Sights were super small so small in fact that our neighbors couldn't put their slides out on one side because they would have hit our Camper. Sewers don't seal or screw in and we had the smell of that for the duration of our stay. When we arrived there was stuff litter all over the place to include sewer elbows from past residents. I also had someone try to pry open one of my under cabin spaces while we were there thank goodness there was no actual theft or ruining of property. Also half the laundry equipment doesn't work so we had to wait to be able to do laundry for long periods of time. Lastly the trash was heaped up on the outside of the canisters and you could smell it throughout the campground. The trash company came one day and only took one canister left the other which was overflowing. I couldn't imagine this if it had been during the heat of summer there.

I believe Thousand Trails bought this from some other company and is working to fix it up. In the past year (end of 2016 into early 2017) they updated the pool and other areas. Those areas look nice now but they are small. For a park with so many spaces, the pool and activity center do not have a lot of room in them. It seems there are quite a few regulars who stay here and some of the rigs are not too well kept and may be taking up a lot of space.
We were lucky to get in the 50 amp power area (first come first served for 30 or 50 amp power) so that was good and the site we were in was actually quite wide an deep enough. We did have a small problem that it was not a level site and was leaning back enough that we could never quite get level.
The staff was VERY nice, drive around often, almost always at the 24/7 ranger station, and helped when we needed it. We saw them helping others quite a bit as well.
Because we have the Thousand Trails membership this site was a good deal for us and we would stay again - but check in early to get a good site and be ready for some tight corners navigating the park.
Oh, took us about 25-30 minutes to get to south end of the strip or Freemont Street while we were there.
