“Amazing Views and Proximity to Capitol Reef Makes This a Winner”

Reviewed May 18, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed here for a week while spending time working remotely and touring Capitol Reef National Park. The location was great for the national park access and the views of the sunsets were amazing. Our spot in site 17 gave us unobstructed views of the west that were just gorgeous. Although the highway parallels the RV park, road noise ... more

“Beautiful town of Torrey, nice experience ”

Reviewed Apr 14, 2018

Overall Rating

We had been boondocking near Bryce and wanted some comforts. We tried Sand Creek RV but they were full. So they called Thousand Lakes for us, and we got a spot. Laundry, a nice restaurant, and good shower. They have a small pool and a basketball court, too. 10 miles to Capitol Reef.

“Nice place to stay to visit Capitol Reef”

Reviewed May 24, 2016

Overall Rating

We enjoyed our stay here and it was a great location for visiting Capitol Reef. We work during the day so most of our time hiking in the park was in the evening so it was nice to be close enough to hop on over there for a hike or two. Verizon data did not work here, but my Verizon talk/text did work. AT&T data worked well so we used... more

“good spot, nice view”

Reviewed Nov 10, 2015

Overall Rating

We stayed here one night and had a great site. We were on the end toward the entrance but it didn't seem too busy. We had a large lawn on one side of us that Jack the dog liked. We would stay here again.
We have a 30ft Travel trailer with one slide.

“Tightest Campground in over a year”

Our stay here did not start out well and has not improved. They started out by putting us in Site 37. There was a low branch and I thought that it would be too close to the rig so I sent my wife up to the desk to get reassigned. They refused saying that they put large rigs in there all the time. So we tried it and guess what, our fu... more

“Nicest park in town with a great gift shop!”

Reviewed May 18, 2015

Overall Rating

This is our second stay at this park. It is a typical RV park with sites fairly close together but they are level and well maintained. We arrived before the trees' leaves were out and we were able to use our rooftop satellite dish. But during our last few days we did get some interference with the wind as the leaves were coming out.... more

As a small town lover, I tend to love small towns. Torrey, Utah is about as wee as a lass may come, and I assure you the folk are of the smiling varietal. The park itself is more or less "RV parky ", our fire could have easily lit our neighbor's rig alight, though it was his own choice of where to park it after I already had th... more
