Small area, well lit at night. Nobody came driving around, no sketchy happenings while we were here. Not busy a busy park, but adjacent road is heavily traveled. Would definitely stay here again.

The good: For us in mid November, it was a perfect spot. Our two dogs had a blast in all the open space to run and play ball. Was easy to keep them away from the road (about 1000' away) since there was so much running room away from roads and homes. We (for the most part) had the whole place to ourselves. There is a gas station within walking distance with ice and what-not's. We accidentally discovered a great Thai restaurant which we at at for dinner both nights of our stay and got fried rice to go so we can have it a third night. Very naughty of us but the food was spectacular!
The old town of Granbury is neat to check out and is close by. It would be a great bicycle ride to the square if I had a bike.
No dirt roads, no dirt pads. You do have to level front-to-back as it is a slight incline. Port-o-potties clean while bathrooms are locked. dumpster available on edge of soccer field.
10 day free camping. 2 picnicking spots with picnic table and grill at both (cannot camp at the picnic spot but you can get close enough to utilize.) We kept our truck and trailer off of the grass because the paved area is huge and we didn't want to give cause for harassment.
Kim would stay here again

Arrived at about 9:30pm and the entrance was blocked by a bulldozer. Couldn't get in. Website said nothing about it being closed.
