Overview of Thompson Chain of Lakes Designated Campsites 75 - 77

Thompson Chain of Lakes State Park offers some of the best wildlife viewing in northwest Montana. There are 83 designated campsites and 8 group campsites spread across the lakes, all require a fee for overnight camping. Campsites are rustic; there is no drinking water available. The access roads are primitive and not recommended for motor homes and large trailers. For large RV's there are 37 developed campsites at nearby Logan State Park, located on Middle Thompson Lake, that are suitable for bigger camping units.

Right on a tiny lake. One vault toilet. One bar on t mobile. 3 sites decently spaced. Just past an RV park. Road is dirt but pretty smooth. A couple 4-wheelers came by during the day but otherwise it’s just me here. Sites are near level and clean other than a couple beer cans. No amenities other than fire rings. Can barely hear the highway. $20 for nonresident paid by pay slot down by the lake.
Don’t f it up.
