Thomas County Fair Campground

Nice grass level lots. Full hook ups, no highway noise.

There is no sign at the entrance. Unsure what the fee is. You just put your cash or check in an unsecured drawer. Recently mowed and the tall grass clippings stuck to our shoes and legs. The place is pretty nice. It was quiet during our stay and well groomed.

Nice quiet stay but the prickly grass was awful for our dog’s feet. They also got stuck in our shoes so we had to pick them out before going into our camper. No one around so we put cash and a note in the drop box.

After hours, 20 bucks in the drop box, clean and well lit, looks like a couple clean long term campers and empty lots, perfect for a late night rest stop.

This was a challenge to find. Take K25 to Cedar and turn west. This is the fairgrounds. We just used electricity and they did have water. They also had goatheads, which makes walking dogs tricky (sharp stickers in the paws). This site is not managed by anyone I saw. There is a building where you drop your $20 in.
