We arrived after dark and struggled to find 15 amp power available at site 33. It was a little hard to find our site and back-in at night. Jesse and team helped us get moved over 1 spot to a space with working 15 amp power to supplement our Solar System. Things looked much better in the light of day, but there is some clutter from longer term rentals, showers a little dirty, and pet areas were not well maintained. The sites are over 80-100 feet long with additional parking in the front, but need definition, especially at night. Very Big Rig friendly!
There is no cell service, but RV WiFi is fast enough to send messages, watch videos, or gently surf the internet.
The gas pumps, store, restaurant, and attached restrooms were amazingly nostalgic and very clean. Love the books in the inside dining area. The Huckleberry Milkshake is an absolute must! They have served 4000 shakes in 2024. Jesse, Judy and Michelle made our visits to the store memorable and the food was fabulous. The staff were overwhelmed with lines, but there are good reasons for the lines.
I highly recommend The Sawmill Station for an RV stay or a mandatory pit stop on Highway 75 between May 1st and October 31st.
Although there is some work to do, we are rounding this review up to five stars. We plan to come back to update you on their progress soon.

Ross & Natasha and staff run a wonderful RV campsite with well stocked grocery, diner, drinks and OHV rentals. Anyone can be pleased with the service and accommodations offered at a good value price-point. Thanks and if I ever am in this area again I will return!

This place was perfect for exploring Stanley and the surrounding area. Full hookups, gas, side by side rentals, awesome general store with delicious milkshakes. 360 view of mountains and trees. On main road but super quiet. And very kind pleasant staff. Four bars of Verizon!

We found this little gem while planning a stop over from Missoula to Sun Valley. It served us well for the night. It was very spacious, accessible roads, very friendly and accommodating staff. Our site had plenty of space for our trailer and truck and then some. It has recently opened so a work in progress. The gravel is a bit sharp at the sites, but it didn't do any harm for us and didn't seem to be affecting any others in the park. You are nestled up against the beautiful foothills and apparently is a good spot for those with ATVs. We didn't have a picnic table or fire pit - not needed since we were only staying for a night. This area is very remote and we didn't have any AT&T cell service the entire time. We also logged into their wifi but it never worked for us. I was able to send an imessage, but that was it. It was kind of nice to be forced to shut technology down for a night, although I wouldn't recommend this place during a work week if you work remote. You might be completely out of luck.
They even have a cafe and patio in the office where you check in that has delicious food, milkshakes, cocktails, etc. They accept Good Sam membership. I'm giving them a 4 out 5 because their friendly staff, the cafe, the unique setting, the spacious site all made up for an overnight with no cell service or wifi. If they could get their wifi up to speed for the entire park, they'd be golden!
