This is a very nice and well maintained family owned campground. There are several cabins but only 11 RV sites, so quite cozy and very quiet less than 2 miles from downtown Custer. Our site, as well as the others, can be challenging to back into, but not impossible. The dump station will require you to exit the campground(but not the resort) since its location is on the opposite side when exiting but not when arriving. Anyway, great hosts, hot showers, and a nice setting!!

We were planning on dry camping in Custer State Park for 4 nights, but weren't getting enough solar into the 2nd day. Called this campground on a Fri. and they had open sites and were just down the road. They gave us a back-in 30 amp FHU site that had plenty of room and was just a few yards from the very clean and well-kept bath house. The RV sites are in the back, lower part of the property and the cabins are in the front. While we had plenty of room, some of the sites are a little oddly sized and small, but would work for a class B. Most of the already occupied sites were pull-thru's with 20-30 ft travel trailers. I wouldn't recommend any large 5th wheels or class A motor homes. It would be a pretty tight fit.

We stayed here for 3 very quiet and peaceful nights in late August. We were lucky enough to have the back mostly to ourselves with only one other rig. The view over the fields to the mountains in the back are beautiful. The location is great only a few minutes to the entrance of Custer State Park and a short-ish drive to Mt. Rushmore, etc...The owners were pleasant. The check in/out policy is a tad on the aggressive side with 10am check out and 3pm check in but it's understandable since it's a small family run operation and they seemed to do all the maintenance themselves. You may need some time to maneuver into your site depending on which one you get as some looked to be a bit of a challenge to get into but nothing too difficult. All in all it was well worth it and we are excited to stay again some day.

This was a wonderful campground. The bathrooms/shower house were super clean. Many nice touches throughout the resort. Many sites have beautiful views. Some sites are less desirable. Check a map and pictures before booking. We did have some issues with the electrical supply, but overall a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.
