“Quiet spot”

Reviewed Oct 25, 2017

Overall Rating

Stayed here on our trip to Jasper from Banff. We saw several other vehicles over nighting here. Little to no noise and saw an amazing sunset from parking area. Gas prices were very expensive as there are no other gas stations till you get to Jasper. Gas prices in Jasper not too bad. If you can wait to get gas there I would. Stayed here on July 10, 2017.

“Great overnight parking on the Icefields Parkway”

Reviewed May 23, 2017

Overall Rating

On May 16, 2017 we stopped at The Crossing Resort in Saskatchawon Crossing, Alberta, Canada. This is one of the only stops along the Ice Field Parkway that has services. Parking is free for one night between 3pm and 9am. You must check into the motel office for permission. There are no fires allowed and no hookups.

You are welcome to all their services which include dump station, water filling station and propane, gasoline and diesel for sale. (Be prepared for very high prices for fuel as they are the only fuel between Lake Louise and Jasper.) They have a general store on property with groceries, camping supplies, ATM, beer, liquor and wine sales, and ice. There is a cafe and The Mt Wilson Restaurant with full southern BBQ menu and buffet dinners. The Parkway Pub offers food services (grill your own), a big screen tv, draft beer and a pool table. Coin laundry facilities are available in the motel office.

No cellular signal on Verizon or T-Mobile. (Can not verify other carriers but due to remoteness I doubt it) However, there is a fully functional pay phone at the general store.
