We absolutely loved this place. John checked us in. Super friendly and very low-key. The barnyard animals were great. Kids played on the swings. I watched the trucks breeze by on I-40. Headed into Shamrock, which is a hidden gem on Route 66. This place is a gem.

These are some of the longest pull throughs you've ever seen. Park is clean and well maintained. Our site is level and there is plenty of room for extra cars, boats, etc. Hook ups are conveniently located. Good for one night, or a long stay. Easy access.
Park WiFi was good, while Verizon service was only fair.

We only stayed here one night but it was a beautiful place to be. Campsites we’re huge, beautiful sunset, and the owners showed us to our site—very friendly. We didn’t go to the bathhouse or use any amenities so I can’t speak on those but otherwise, would stay here again.

However, once at the site, we loved it. We were walked to our site, given a booklet with local attractions, restaurants, etc, and a cute postcard. There were at least three tornado shelters on-site, which surprised me but understood. The one I peeked in was clean and safe looking (I'm not a tornado engineer).
Site is next to the interstate but we've never minded the sound
For kids:
My son loved the farm animals and cats. We wanted to see if we could feed them but the office wasn't open yet for the morning. There was a swing set and some hotwheels car available for kids. Jumping Leprechauns is a texMex restaurant about 5mi away with a decent menu and bouncy houses for kids to burn off some energy.

Nice place, great staff. 45psi water pressure, full h/u pull thru site. good spacing between sites. Impressive wifi. Some noise from I40. Be sure to have all the groceries you need before getting here. Only 1 grocery store in Shamrock and the prices are crazy high.

We are waiting to see the cost of repairs. I would never recommend this place..... keep driving or find another park !!

We've been RVing for 17 years and have put 150,000 miles on our current coach. I don't usually leave reviews, but I rely heavily on the reviews I find here, which is why I was disappointed that this had five stars.
The park uses a third party vendor called roverpass to process their reservations. Although they charge a $7.50 processing fee, I "booked" it online because I wanted to avoid in-person contact. It's not actually an online reservation system. Roverpass is supposed to forward the request to the campground who will then charge the credit card and confirm the reservation. I called 2 hours later and was informed by Crystal that she did not receive an email from roverpass and frequently does not. I explained that I wanted a contactless check-in because of the pandemic. Crystal said she had to have a signature on paper because I needed to acknowledge and agree to the rules. I told her I did that online. She said she doesn't get most of that stuff from roverpass and that a signature was non-negotiable. She did agree to bring the form outside for me to sign. I might have expected this in the early stages of the pandemic, but a year and a half in, this is the first time I have ever encountered such a pandemic unfriendly park.
The park itself is older and run down. We approached from the east on 4 miles of an old frontage road which was in bad shape. While the park was adequate for a overnight, it certainly is not five stars. To their credit, they did give me a 10% discount for being a veteran. In light of Crystal's complete lack of concern for the pandemic, I will not stay here again.

Getting back on I-40 East was a little interesting. Drove about 3 miles on old Route 66 through town, part of the road was a little rough. Lots of motels and cafes with Route 66 theme.

This is a sweet little park! The views of the countryside are stunning. We had rigs on each side of us but there was plenty of space between that you didn’t feel claustrophobic, plus each site is really long. They also have a picnic table for each site. The laundry room consisted of 4 washing machines (one was out of order) and two HUGE dryers (again one was out of order.) but we were able to put our three loads of clothes into the one dryer (note: dryers are old AND loud, but worked surprisingly well!). Washing machines were $2 and dryers were .25 per 15 minutes (took 1.25 or 60 mins to dry my clothes.) They have three chairs to sit if you want to wait and two tables to fold your clothes. They also have a change machine as the machines take quarters only. They have showers but we did not use them so I can’t comment on them. The couple in the office were super nice and he even led us to our site. Their store has all the necessities, but as you would expect at an RV park they are more expensive than a grocery store. This park has a dog run, chicken coop plus a rooster and in another area there is a donkey and two goats. Kids would love to see them, heck, I loved watching them! We drove into Shamrock to get ice (our fridge is having problems) & dinner (which was tasty) and to see a historical site.
Overall a very good experience!
We have a 36 ft Heartland Bighorn Traveler.
