“Very pleasant evening along the Alcan”

We really enjoyed our stay at Tetsa River Lodge. The very nice lady who runs the place was pleasant and helpful. Our site was level and just enough under the trees to provide some shade. In addition to the legandary Cinnimon buns, she also offer great tasting sausage and other smoked meats. After 2 days of no cell service, we got connected to very very solid Wifi too. Oh yes, and we took a short hike down to the river for a little site seeing. Glad to be here and would stay here again!

We'd planned to stay at Stone Mountain Provincial Park but it had been wet and cool most of the day so we decided that 15 amps to feed the electric heater and fresh cinnamon rolls in the morning was in order.
The main sign out front has a Good Sam sign hanging on it but they no longer provide a Good Sam discount. In addition to the RV sites, they have a number of cabins that they rent. They only provide 15 amp power because the power is provided by an onsite generator and is operated limited hours (about 18-20 hours a day as I recall.)
Some of the sites are long and/or pull-thru. We picked one of the shorter back-in sites and had no neighbors as a result.
The big reason to stay here (other than the historic ambience) is what is coming out of the oven! Last time we stopped for cinnamon buns and kept on going. This time, we went for the whole enchillada.
If you're looking for paved spaces equally measured, complete with little white lighthouses for services, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a classic Alaska Highway roadhouse experience, you can't go wrong.
John & BJ would stay here again
