We would definitely come back for a longer stay.
HiknDog would stay here again

We were excited to have a campsite so close to my sisters cottage in Tomahawk as we having a large family gathering for multiple niece’s graduations at her cottage! We rented two campsites sites at Terrace View. Well, the owner, Lin, continually badgered us for lists and explains of who would be there as visitors, who would be staying overnight, how many bump outs were on our camper, how we should park our campers…it seemed endless. Her relentless accusations and distrust started from the moment I checked in. Note that I checked in for my brother-in-law who made the reservation and who is going through chemo and stayed in the RV as I did the check- in. She accused me of deceiving her just by checking him in. At first I was amused thinking she is a little senile giving her a pass, but then as she persisted and required a list of who would be staying over night and who would be visiting I began to get annoyed. I provided a list with names and ages of all kids and adults as well as ages of who would be staying at the site, who might visit from the family. It still wasn’t enough. By-the-way we had 6 adults and 2 children the first night and 6 adults and 3 children the 2nd night one of which was under 12. We had 3 people stop by to shuttle kids to the family party at my sister’s cottage. Some of our children stayed at the cottage with their other cousins…..pretty normal. We spent over two hours futilely trying to explain this, not complicated, situation which eventually became an argument. She accused us of lying, having all kind of visitors…..in the end, charging us another $40 and telling us we got a good deal. We were so tired of arguing with this insane woman, that we just paid the extra money, dumped our campers, and got the hell out of there. She had the nerve to say as we were leaving, I hope you and your family come back next year. I am not kidding. What was simply supposed to be six adults and children renting a site to attend a family gathering was too overwhelming for the camp owner.

We have 39' fifth and the area they wanted us in was Impossible to get into because of angles and trees. I had to go get help since we spent well over 20 minutes going back and forth with no one offering help. I went to get manager and she moved us across the road but no mention it was only 20 amp. She then said she'd appreciate it if we didn't use our air. Anyway. They are celebrating the fifty year anniversary of park and it looks like they haven't done anything to it in that time. Park is pretty though with trees with a nice walk down to a lake. Cash only!!! New wifi, no cable and only a few antenna channels. They do have mosquitos though the size of a bird. No amenities that we could find. Baths are very old and showers 25 cents for four minutes. Owner is very nice and has made a play area for local chipmunks.
