Absolutely beautiful forest area and it’s nice that it’s free, but it was so insanely packed towards the end of the week. GIANT groups of people would just come and set up right next to you and run all around your tent and through your site. There was used toilet paper all throughout the site and forest around which was disgusting. Nearly every group in the whole site was blasting movies and music until almost midnight every night and started again by 7:00 the next morning. Good things about the site was it was super close to the parks nearby and had some trash cans which was nice, but honestly it would be worth it to just pay the $20 a night to just have some peace and quiet at the official campsite down the road.

Got to this area with a few hours of light left. Plenty of time to get set up and explore. There were a handful of other campers but far enough away that it felt completely secluded. Road can be a little rough but had no problem in 25’ class c

This campsite is the left after the ten mile campground that is $25 a night which is on the Sequoia map. Lots of space and was pretty full at night but everyone was quiet at night. I enjoyed staying here.

We spent three nights here, and as others have mentioned, it is less than a 1/2 mile from a reservation-only paid campground. We arrived in the wee hours after driving through the night, and there were no more than 5 spots with folks sleeping (it was 5am) and there was SO MUCH SPACE amongst the towering trees. We loved our site, it was easy to find and set up (we have a roof top tent), but we had three very distinct nights:
Night 1 (Thursday): maybe a dozen folks scattered, giving you plenty of space, and privacy--a few loud and rowdy people, but technically there are no quiet hours, so...
Night 2 (Friday): I could not believe it. The place was PACKED, and people were showing up all night. Maybe a bit naive here as it was our first time in the area, but there was absolutely zero courtesy going on. People yelling, kids running rampant, honking horns, generators going, music blasting from all corners. It's totally fine with me if people wanna party outdoors and do their thing, but this didn't stop until nearly 3am. Our family of four joked that we'd get our revenge in the morning since we're early, but I kid you not, it started right back up shortly after we were up and pouring coffee... at 5:15am there was a family of no fewer than 40 (FORTY) people yelling, honking horns, screaming for their kids, etc, etc, etc. It was the worst family camping night imaginable.
Night 3 (Saturday): Followed that awful night by one of the best family camping nights... one of my daughters mentioned a spot she and my wife saw down a clearance-needed road further into the area, so I checked it out. Despite not having 4 wheel drive on the Q5, we decided to navigate the road and sure enough, there were a few single areas an 1/8 mile or further in, and they were open. While we could hear the parties going on once in a while, it was a very peaceful place... if you're a family and not wanting to be surrounded by debauchery and the loudest place ever, this would be a good option.
Overall, great location and a clean place with plenty of spots to set up, but be cautious of spending the weekend there if you're wanting to relax.

Dont spend money at Tenmile Campground which is 1/2 mile away. Camp here for free. Huge free trash container, NO bear boxes, just keep your goodies in your truck/car. Lots of space and free camping. The crows were NOISY at cocktail time which was a buzzkill.
