At Self-Service Campgrounds, you choose a site, fill out a provided fee envelope, insert your camping fee into the envelope, and deposit the envelope in the “Iron Ranger” fee tube at the entrance. Please do this within 30 minutes of setting up your camp.

Overall Rating

Most sites have water views. Not a lot of shade but there are some sites in the trees. Very well kept. Clean vault toilets. Quiet and peaceful. Great place to kayak. Not as busy as other campgrounds with boat ramp.

“Great boondocking”

Overall Rating

Quiet and much less busy than the other campgrounds. No hookups, water and sewer not far in the park. Perfect spot for visiting the Elk/Bison prairie as well as the rest of the park! Sites not really level but we managed.
